This is a glimpse of the inside of the van we drove in, formerly a UN van, complete with bars on the inside in-case we roll over. -good to know- but no
need to worry really.
I loved loved driving through the country-side and looking out the window. I snapped a few pictures of this beautiful place we would call home for the next six weeks. There are lots of corn fields, trees, and mountains in several directions.
Also, one of my favorite things, which will probably show up in pictures soon, is many of the houses, probably 95%, have red roofs. As we flew in it was soo neat to see the land scattered with little red roofs.
This is my first friend here, Vlora (Laura). Oh she is so wonderful and has such a big heart. She has been with the Shropshire Music Foundation since its beginnings right after the war ended.
She took me out to "get a drink" while the others were being picked up at the airport. There are always people out on the streets in the evenings having drinks (not just alcoholic).
I tried the strawberry juice, and it was ohh so yummy!! They have these kind of juices everywhere here, apple, orange, strawberry, peach, blueberry. Its awesome!Well this was my first day in Kosovo :)
Yay! So glad you're having a good time with fruity juices! Post more, please! :)))) Miss you love you!
