Tues, Aug 7

Every Tuesday we meet at Liz's house with the camp kids. These are the kids who recently (just a few years ago) were moved into apartment buildings from the camps for people to live during and after the war.

To the right is us doing the song "a Ram Sam Sam", it has a few hand movements and each time we get faster and faster... This is a fun one to do with the kids.

To the left is Burim (the other program director) teaching the kids. Burim is Awesome with the kids and knows how to make them laugh and have fun while still paying attention and staying in their seats.
We split up the time with the kids, first singing with the whole group, and then the older kids learning music notes while the younger kids go in the front to play games. Today I came out to play games :) I stayed with this really shy really cute boy. The first game was a dance-freeze game when the music started and stopped. I walked up to the boy and held his hands and danced with him. He was hesitant at first, but soon warmed up and kept wanting to hold my hands for all the games. Soooo cute!
These pictures are of us playing Red-light-green-light.

A group picture at the end of all the volunteers from today:
